Conversations with my Kids: “I Like Your Diaper”

I’m going to share funny things my children say from time to time here.  Why?
1. Because they really are hilarious, and
2. So I won’t forget them and what they’re like at their current age.

Conversations with my Kids: “I Like Your Diaper”

My two year old can often be very complimentary.  She will frequently point to a shirt I am wearing and say, “I like your pretty shirt.”

She will repeat a similar phrase about the body parts too.  I like your eyes.  I like your nose.  She even says it about my breasts if you recall my previous conversations with my kids post.

This same curious child of mine always seems to follow me into the bathroom when I need to go take care of my business too.  It just never fails.

Of course my most recent trips to the bathroom involve my menstrual cycle.  On one particular day, I had to wear the big, long maxi pad.  So when I pulled it out and proceeded to place a clean, white one inside my underwear, my two year old was right there inspecting my every move.

“I like your diaper mommy!” she said and smiled at me.
I laughed.  Of course she thinks it’s a diaper.  It kind of feels like one for me too.

“Thank you,” I tell her.  “You might not like it as much when you have to wear this kind someday but we’ll see…”

My kids and the things they say!  My situations!  This is what real parenting and no privacy is all about!   🙂
