My Featured Piece in Brain, Child Magazine

I am so very honored to be featured in Brain, Child Magazine this week.  What an honor it is for me to be a contributor to this publication for “thinking mothers.”  They indeed produce amazing, inspiring and candid literature.  Their stories are uplifting, helpful and often humorous like mine being showcased.

This work of art was originally written about five years ago.  I shared it with a few friends but set it aside.  Life kept me busy and I forgot about it.  About two years ago I found it and re-read it.  I laughed all over again and edited it further.  Then I shared it with other writers I know in a group.  They loved it and suggested I publish it.

The submission process took awhile but when I found Brain, Child, it felt like I had a ‘home’ for my ‘baby’ – my satirical story.  Almost a year later, we are announcing this ‘birth’ of my story – “A Real Mom’s Resume“.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!   I encourage any mother, any parent to borrow it and share it when they need to be reminded about the important work they do and the value they give to family.
