The Journey, not the Destination

For some reason this quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson has been stuck in my head for days now…

“Life is a journey, not a destination.”

I even had these words in my head as I was climbing into my car yesterday.  When the radio came on, the band Journey was playing.  It was their song, “Don’t Stop Believing”.  Was that a sign?

I’ve been reading a lot about people’s struggles lately.  I have my own struggles too.  I often want answers but I have more questions.  I often want to reach a goal but once I do, I’m not always satisfied.

It’s time I changed my thought process.  I want to focus on the journey, and not the destination.

Thank you divine intervention and the band Journey for this little reminder…

I won’t stop believing and searching.  I will make my searches more of an adventure and take time to enjoy the questions, even if I never find the answers I’m looking for.
