Conversations with my Kids: “Gardening”
I’m going to share funny things my children say from time to time here. Why?
1. Because they really are hilarious, and
2. So I won’t forget them and what they’re like at their current age.

Conversations with my Kids: “Gardening”
We started to do a little bit of gardening today. We have a LONG way to go. I’m working at turning my brown thumb to a green one. As my husband laid out the foundation for the vegetable garden we plan to start, I pulled out old roots and trash from the flower pots surrounding our patio.
My oldest daughter helped pull a few weeds and watered plants while my youngest girl was taking a nap inside. This was my conversation with her while we worked.
Daughter: “Wow, gardening sure is a lot of work. I thought it was going to be easy.”
Me: “Why did you think that?”
Daughter: “I don’t know.”
Me: “Gardening is a lot of hard work, sweat, getting dirty, being hot. And you have to have patience.”
Daughter: – “Well, I still think I will like gardening. I can’t wait to see what grows.”
About two minutes later…
Daughter: “Whew, I’m getting hot and dirty. Gardening sure is a lot of work…”
Ha Ha!
