Contributing Writer to Simple Marriage

In December I submitted my portfolio to be a contributing writer to a wonderful site called Simple Marriage.  After reviewing the web page, I knew I’d be a great addition to the current writers and articles on there.

Simple Marriage shares great tips for married couples looking to improve or enhance their relationship.  From suggestions on how to better communicate to topics like how to sexy up things in the bedroom, this site has it all.

I have been married for eleven years.  My husband and I have two children.  I have a lot to say and offer when it comes to tips on having a great, successful marriage. When I read the online ad from the editor looking for writers, the deadline had passed by two days.  The expiration date said Friday but I didn’t see the post wanting new writers until Sunday.  Oh well, I thought…. I’m going to apply anyway.  What do I have to lose?  I took a chance and spent two hours putting my portfolio together.

To my delight and surprise, about three weeks later, I was chosen to be the contributing writer.  The owner of the site contacted me right before New Years and let me know I was the only one selected.  I felt like it was a belated Christmas gift!

In January, my first article was posted there.  I wrote about how to be a more affectionate wife, something I struggle with from time to time.  Since then, my articles appear there  once a month.  My most recent post was how to be sexier, both in attitude and appearance.

How do I come up with these topics?  Real life inspiration!  🙂

Not only do I enjoy being a contributing writer there but I’m also paid for my work.  That is a wonderful gig – something I enjoy doing, receive compensation for and (hopefully) help people with practical, fun tips for a better relationship.

I’m so happy I found the Simple Marriage site and I’m honored to be writing for it.  Just when I think I may run out of ideas to contribute, something happens between my spouse and me that I determine is worth sharing.

Marriage is a work in progress – there are always way to improve it, spice it up, and make it more meaningful between two people.  I look forward to sharing more there and to being a part of Simple Marriage team. You can read all of my past articles from the site by clicking here.
